Apple Crosses $10 Billion in Annual India Sales
Apple is a company that makes iPhones, iPads, and computers.
It just sold more than $10 billion worth of its products in one year in India for the very first time.
That is a really big number, like ten thousand million dollars!
People in India are buying more and more iPhones, which is why the company is doing so well there.
In the last year, the number of iPhones shipped to India grew by 24 percent, reaching 14 million phones.
That means about one out of every four iPhones in the world is now made in India.
Apple is also opening more stores in Indian cities like Bangalore and Pune.
The Indian government wants to help, so it is thinking about giving tax breaks to Apple until the year 2041.
Five years ago, Apple only made about $2 billion in India, so this growth is very fast.
India is still a small part of Apple's total business, but it is becoming one of the company's most important markets.
Apple surpassed $10 billion in annual sales in India for the first time in its last fiscal year, according to Bloomberg.
Revenue grew at a double-digit percentage rate in the 12 months through March, up from about $9 billion a year earlier.
iPhones accounted for a significant majority of the sales, while demand for iPads and MacBooks also rose.
Counterpoint reported Apple's iPhone shipments in India for FY26 grew to 14 million units, a 24 percent increase year-on-year.
Around one in four iPhones globally are now made in India, and India has proposed extending tax exemptions until 2041 for foreign companies like Apple.
