Maharashtra Expands Mission Vatsalya to Support Women
The Maharashtra government is helping women in need.
They've made their 'Mission Vatsalya' program bigger.
It now helps widows, women who have been left by their partners, and single women.
This means these women can get help with things like getting certificates and accessing government programs.
The government is also running centers called 'One Stop Centres' where women can get legal help, medical assistance, and counseling if they need it.
These centers have already helped thousands of women this year by giving support and helping them rebuild their lives.
They are providing a variety of services to improve women's safety and well-being.
Maharashtra expanded Mission Vatsalya to support all widows, deserted, and single women.
The initiative is implemented under the 'Shasan Aplya Dari' campaign.
District-level committees will organize special camps and outreach programs.
One Stop Centres offer legal, medical, and counseling support to women.
Over 7,000 women have received assistance from One Stop Centres since January 2025.
