Assam CM accuses Gogoi and wife of Pakistani links
The Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, has accused a Congress leader, Gaurav Gogoi, and his British wife, Elizabeth Colburn, of being agents for Pakistan.
He claims they have links with Pakistan's spy agency, the ISI, and that Gogoi has visited Pakistan and received training there.
Colburn is also accused of collecting secret government documents.
Gogoi has strongly denied these allegations, calling them ridiculous and baseless.
The Chief Minister has dared Gogoi to file a case against him if he is not afraid.
A special team had earlier investigated these claims, including questioning Colburn and others.
The Chief Minister also compared the Congress party to a historical figure who invited foreign forces into Assam, leading to its fall.
Gogoi has questioned the Chief Minister's mental state and accused him of making false claims without facts.
