Bronco Test Introduced for Indian Cricket Team Fitness
The Indian cricket team is adopting a new fitness test called the Bronco Test, which is borrowed from rugby.
Players run back and forth between markers set at different distances.
They repeat this several times without stopping, covering a total of 1,200 meters.
The test helps measure endurance.
It's used in addition to existing tests to measure fitness, with an aim of helping the cricketers with their directional changes in the game.
The Bronco Test, a new fitness assessment, is being introduced for Indian cricket players.
The test is inspired by rugby and focuses on aerobic endurance.
It involves running shuttle runs between markers set at 20, 40, and 60 meters.
Players complete five sets of these shuttle runs, totaling 1,200 meters.
The test complements existing fitness assessments used by the BCCI.
