Tiger and Dog Rescued After Falling into Pit

A tiger and a dog found themselves stuck in a pit after the tiger was chasing the dog near the border of Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

The incident occurred Sunday morning.

Rescue teams were sent, and they safely removed both animals.

The tiger was tranquilized, pulled out using a net, and placed in a cage.

The dog, also tranquilized to help in the rescue, appeared unharmed.

Officials plan to check the tiger and release it into the Periyar sanctuary if healthy.
