Telangana to Survey Unemployed Rural Youth for Jobs
The Telangana government plans to make a list of unemployed young people living in rural areas.
The survey will cover people aged 18 to 35 in 12,760 villages.
Local panchayat secretaries will collect and check their details, including their education.
The government says the survey should be finished within a week.
Officials hope the information will help them offer jobs, skills training and ways to start small businesses.
The state also plans a program called Rajiv Yuva Vikasam for self-employment.
It is expected to offer eligible people subsidies from ₹50,000 to ₹4 lakh.
More than 16 lakh young people applied for that program after a notice in April 2025.
