Visakhapatnam Prepares for Ganesh Chaturthi 2025 with Unique Idols
Get ready for Ganesh Chaturthi 2025 in Visakhapatnam!
The festival starts on August 27th and will feature special idols.
One committee is making an idol out of 100,000 sarees, with the sarees going to charity.
Another group is creating a Ganesh statue made entirely of silver, to be displayed in a Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams-themed area.
Local artists will also make many other idols, ranging in size and price.
Last year some idols didn't sell, so they are being more careful this year.
Visakhapatnam is preparing for Ganesh Chaturthi 2025, with festivities starting August 27.
Two remarkable Ganesh idols are being made: one from 100,000 sarees and another from silver.
The saree idol is being created by Srikanth from Chirala for the Gajuwaka Utsav Committee.
A silver Ganesh statue will be installed within a Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams-themed setup.
Local craftsmen are preparing idols ranging from 3 to 14 feet, with prices from ₹12,000 to ₹90,000.
