England Strikes in Test; Jaiswal Achieves Milestone Against India
India played against England in a cricket match.
England decided to bowl first.
India's opening batsmen, Rahul and Jaiswal, started well, but England's bowlers got them out, along with Gill.
Jaiswal made a half-century, a rare feat for an Indian opener at Old Trafford.
He also reached 1000 runs against England, making him the second-fastest Indian to do so.
The match was played on an overcast day, and England's bowlers, including Woakes and Dawson, took wickets.
England removed India's openers, Rahul and Jaiswal, and Shubman Gill, leaving India at 149/3 at tea.
Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a half-century, becoming the first Indian opener in 50 years to achieve this at Old Trafford.
Jaiswal also completed 1000 runs against England in the fourth Test match.
Chris Woakes, Liam Dawson, and Ben Stokes took the wickets for England in the afternoon session.
England won the toss and elected to field first.
