India Afghanistan T20Is May Shift Amid Ganesh Chaturthi Clash
India and Afghanistan are supposed to play three T20 cricket matches in New Delhi.
The matches are currently planned for September 13, 15 and 17.
Afghanistan’s cricket board wants to move them to September 11, 13 and 14.
This would place one match on September 14, when Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated.
Organizers believe the change could help more people attend or watch on television.
The Afghanistan Cricket Board and the Board of Control for Cricket in India are still discussing the plan.
The Delhi cricket association said it did not know about the proposed changes.
The Afghanistan Cricket Board will make the final call.
The matches will be shown on Sony Sports Network and streamed on FanCode.
The Afghanistan Cricket Board is discussing revised dates with the Board of Control for Cricket in India.
The series is currently scheduled for September 13, 15 and 17 at New Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium.
