AISF Warns Statewide Protests Over Polytechnic Merger Proposal

AISF Warns Statewide Protests Over Polytechnic Merger Proposal

A student group called AISF is opposing a plan involving polytechnic colleges.

The group says the colleges should remain under the Department of Technical Education.

It believes the proposal could reduce the quality of technical education.

It also worries that poor and middle-class students could lose affordable diploma opportunities.

AISF leader Raghuram Naik led a protest in Nizamabad.

He asked the government to withdraw GO Ms No.

97.

He also questioned plans involving ITIs, ATCs and polytechnics under Young India Skills University.

AISF says it will organize more protests if the government does not change course.
