BHEL Secures Major Coal Gasification Order

BHEL Secures Major Coal Gasification Order

BHEL, a big Indian company, got a job to build special machines that turn coal into chemicals.

They will work with another company, BCGCL, to make these machines in a place called Jharsuguda in Odisha.

The machines will use a special technology called PFBG to clean the coal and make something called syngas.

This is the first time this technology is being used on a big scale.

The machines will help make a chemical called ammonium nitrate.

BHEL will do all the planning, building, and testing of these machines.

The project is worth Rs 5,400 crore and will take about 42 months to complete.

BHEL's shares fell by 10.34% on January 8, 2026, but a financial expert says this is not a big deal and the company is still doing well.
