BJP Expels Seven More Rebels, Bringing Rajasthan Total To 48

The Bharatiya Janata Party expelled seven more people during Rajasthan’s civic elections.

These people were running as Independents against candidates officially chosen by the party.

They were removed from the party for six years.

Five of them were contesting in Ajmer, and one each was contesting in Jaitaran and Mundwa.

The party had already expelled 41 other people.

This brings the total number expelled to 48.

BJP leaders said these actions were needed to enforce party discipline.

The party said working against its official candidates was a serious violation of its rules.
