NCP Factions Unite for Pune Elections
Two groups of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in Maharashtra, who usually disagree, have joined together to make a plan for the Pune city elections.
They promised to fix traffic problems by building new roads and making public transport free.
They also want to build more hospitals and help people save water.
They said they will give money to women to start their own businesses.
The elections will happen on January 15, and the results will be announced the next day.
This is the first time these two groups have worked together since they split in 2023.
NCP factions united to release a joint manifesto for Pune Municipal Corporation elections.
Promises include traffic relief, healthcare improvements, water supply, and affordable public transport.
Proposed solutions: fixing 33 missing road links, free bus and metro travel, and hospitals within 2 km radius.
Eco-friendly housing societies to get a 20% property tax rebate and 'Green Society' certification.
