India’s GCCs Shift Toward Strategic Enterprise Capabilities and Ownership

India has many teams that help global companies do important work.

These teams are called global capability centers, or GCCs.

They used to focus mainly on completing assigned tasks.

Now, many are helping create products, analyze information and make business decisions.

SC&H’s India team is also working toward taking more responsibility for results.

This requires good leaders, trust, business knowledge and a supportive workplace.

GCCs are growing in both large cities and newer Indian technology hubs.

In the future, the best centers may be judged by the value and ideas they create, not just by their size or lower costs.
