NTPC Secures $750 Million Loan from Bank of Baroda, HDFC Bank
NTPC, a big energy company, borrowed $750 million from two banks, Bank of Baroda and HDFC Bank.
This money will help them build new power plants and make old ones better, like adding systems to clean up pollution.
The loan is for 10 years.
The agreement was signed in a special business area called GIFT City in Gujarat, India.
This is a big deal because it's the largest foreign currency loan for Bank of Baroda and the first of its kind for HDFC Bank to NTPC.
NTPC secured a $750 million loan from Bank of Baroda and HDFC Bank.
The loan is an unsecured, syndicated External Commercial Borrowing (ECB).
