West Indies Level Rare ODI Record Against India
West Indies played India in the second match of a three-game ODI cricket series.
Three West Indies batters scored more than 100 runs each.
They were John Campbell, Shai Hope and Amir Jangoo.
This is very unusual in one-day cricket.
It had happened only once before against India.
South Africa achieved it in 2015.
West Indies had lost the first match, so the strong batting performance helped them try to level the series.
The article did not give the final result of the second match.
John Campbell, Shai Hope and Amir Jangoo each scored centuries for West Indies in the second ODI in Guwahati.
It was only the second time three batters had scored hundreds in an ODI innings against India.
Campbell made 101 from 68 balls, while captain Hope scored 104 from 94 deliveries.
Jangoo reached his century from 71 balls, hitting 12 fours and two sixes.
The achievement matched South Africa’s 2015 record against India, while West Indies sought to recover from losing the opening ODI.
