UGC Declares 22 Universities Fake, Degrees Invalid; Delhi Has Most
Imagine some schools are like pretend playhouses, but they tell everyone they are real schools that can give out official certificates.
The big school boss, called the UGC, has found 22 of these pretend schools.
They have told everyone that these schools are not real universities.
This means that any papers or 'degrees' you get from them are not real and won't help you get a job or go to a better school.
The UGC wants to make sure students don't waste their time and money on these fake places.
Delhi has the most of these fake schools, with 10 of them.
The UGC wants students to always check if a school is real before signing up to make sure their learning counts.
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has identified 22 unapproved institutions operating as universities.
Degrees awarded by these 22 fake universities are considered invalid for employment or higher education.
Delhi has the highest number of such institutions with 10, followed by Uttar Pradesh with four.
The UGC warns students against enrolling in these unapproved institutions that violate the UGC Act.
Students are urged to verify institutional credentials through official sources before admission to protect their academic future.
