ED Traces ₹900 Crore Parimatch Betting Proceeds Overseas

India’s Enforcement Directorate is investigating money allegedly earned through the Parimatch online betting platform.

The agency says more than ₹900 crore was generated and moved through complicated financial channels.

Some transactions were allegedly made to look like overseas investments or payments for services.

Investigators also examined payment companies and travel operators.

They say some money moved through merchant accounts, cash-transfer networks and bank accounts.

The agency alleges that cash was later passed to hawala operators and cryptocurrency intermediaries.

Searches were conducted at 17 locations in five Indian states and Delhi.

The ED says it seized or froze assets worth about ₹150 crore so far.
