J&K Focuses on Eco-Tourism and Medicinal Plants
The Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir, Atal Dulloo, had two important meetings.
The first was about making eco-tourism better in J&K.
They talked about finding good places for eco-tourism, making sure these places have nice facilities, and training people to work there.
They also launched a new app called e-Bahak to help nomads get grazing permissions easily.
The second meeting was about growing special plants that are used to make medicines.
They want to start with a few types of plants and then add more later.
They also want to make sure farmers can sell these plants directly to buyers.
Both meetings were about making J&K a better place for tourism and farming.
Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo chaired meetings to promote eco-tourism and commercial cultivation of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (MAP) in J&K.
The eco-tourism meeting focused on identifying destinations, developing infrastructure, and creating employment opportunities for rural communities.
The mobile application 'e-Bahak' was launched for online grant of grazing permissions to nomadic pastoral communities.
The MAP cultivation meeting emphasized starting with popular and locally suitable varieties, collaborating with research institutions, and connecting growers directly with buyers.
Both initiatives aim to promote sustainable growth, conservation, and livelihood generation in J&K.
