GAIL Plans Expansion Across Gas, LNG, Petrochemicals and Clean Energy

GAIL Plans Expansion Across Gas, LNG, Petrochemicals and Clean Energy

GAIL is a large Indian company that transports and supplies gas.

It wants to build more natural-gas and LPG pipelines.

Its natural-gas network is already longer than 18,690 kilometres.

New construction could bring the network close to 20,000 kilometres.

GAIL is also increasing the amount of LPG its Jamnagar-Loni pipeline can carry.

The company is expanding factories that make petrochemical products and is planning two gas-based fertiliser plants.

It is buying LNG from different sources and expanding its shipping access.

Company officials say these plans could improve energy security while cleaner energy becomes more important.
