PM Modi's First Address After CJP Protests: 'Country Needs You'
Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a big speech to smart university students at a graduation ceremony in New Delhi.
It was his first public speech after some protests in the city, which were about a test students take to become doctors.
He told the students, 'We have faith in you.
The country needs you.'
He said every generation has a duty to help its country and asked young people to think about how their choices can help India grow into a developed nation.
He said the world is changing very fast because of technology.
He told them that people who keep learning new things will do the best.
He also talked about exciting new opportunities in space and drones, like private companies launching rockets.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave his first public address after the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protests at IIT Delhi's 57th convocation ceremony on Saturday.
He told young Indians, 'We have faith in you. The country needs you,' and said every generation bears its own national responsibility.
Modi said decisions made by today's youth over the next 30 to 35 years will influence India's journey towards a 'Viksat Bharat' (developed India).
He urged continuous learning as technology rapidly reshapes the world, saying 'those who keep learning will succeed.'
Modi cited the Skyroot Aerospace Vikram-1 rocket launch and India's growing drone industry as new opportunities, without directly addressing the CJP protests over the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak.
