GHMC Proposes Two Projects to Ease Hyderabad Traffic Congestion
The city of Hyderabad is planning to build two new bridges to help cars move more easily.
One is a Y-shaped bridge that will help cars go towards different roads, like Patigadda or Secunderabad.
The other is a bridge over a road in Patigadda.
These new bridges will help make traffic jams better in busy areas like Begumpet and Sardar Patel Road.
People living in these neighborhoods have wanted these improvements for a long time.
The city is also making the Patigadda road wider to allow more cars to pass through.
These projects are happening because the city has grown a lot, and more cars are on the road.
GHMC has proposed two road projects, a Y-shaped flyover and a Patigadda Road Over Bridge (RoB), to ease traffic congestion in Hyderabad.
The Y-shaped flyover near the HMRL office in Rasoolpura is estimated to cost ₹150 crore and will have arms towards Patigadda and Secunderabad.
The Patigadda RoB is estimated at ₹108.02 crore and will connect Paigah Palace to P. V. Narasimha Rao Marg.
These projects aim to improve traffic flow on the Begumpet-Sardar Patel Road corridor and fulfill long-standing demands of local residents.
The Patigadda stretch will also be widened to 100 feet to increase road capacity.
