Indore Development Authority Seeks Private Operator for Lata Mangeshkar Auditorium

The Indore Development Authority built the Lata Mangeshkar Auditorium and has been running it for two years.

Now, it wants a private company to manage the building and its other commercial activities.

The auditorium cost more than ₹30 crore to build.

It can seat over 1,200 people and hosts events about 10 days a month.

The authority charges about ₹1.5 lakh for each event.

Electricity alone reportedly costs about ₹50,000 per event.

Companies interested in managing the venue can submit bids online.

A meeting about the tender is planned for October 23, and bids must be submitted by November 4.

The authority is also seeking private operators for some of its other public facilities.
