US Imposes New Iran Sanctions on Entities, Vessels
The US government announced new sanctions against several companies and ships that it believes are helping Iran sell oil.
These companies are located in places like Hong Kong, China, the UAE, and the Marshall Islands.
The US is also targeting tankers that carry Iranian oil.
This action is connected to Iran not cooperating in talks about its nuclear program, which have been paused after prior attacks on Iran's nuclear sites.
Iran's top diplomat stated effective nuclear talks with the United States have not yet arrived.
The US Treasury Department and State Department announced the measures on Thursday.
