Aviation Fuel, Commercial LPG Prices Rise on Global Benchmarks

Fuel for airplanes became more expensive on Thursday.

Aviation turbine fuel rose from Rs 121 to Rs 137 per litre.

This fuel can make up as much as 40% of an airline’s operating costs.

The price of gas cylinders used by businesses also went up by Rs 62.59.

The price of cooking gas used in homes did not change.

Petrol and diesel prices did not change either.

Oil companies said the increases followed international energy prices and currency movements.

Prices may differ between states because of local taxes.
