Collector Orders Emergency Measures as Fluorosis and Jaundice Hit Kanigiri Villages
Officials visited some villages because people were getting sick with jaundice and fluorosis, which are diseases caused by dirty water.
The collector saw that even though houses had toilets, some men were still going to the bathroom outside, which made the water dirty.
To fix this, they are bringing safe water in tankers and from a clean source.
They also stopped using water from a well that was making people sick.
The collector reminded everyone to always use toilets and wash their hands to stay healthy.
He also saw students drinking bad water at school and ordered them to get clean water and put up signs.
A new water tank is being built to help provide clean water to more people.
District collector and local MLA visited Kanigiri villages due to reports of fluorosis and jaundice.
Emergency measures include providing RO-treated and tanker water supply to affected villages.
Officials addressed sanitation issues, including open defecation, and emphasized personal hygiene.
The collector ordered immediate supply of RO water to a school after finding students drinking contaminated borewell water.
Construction of a new drinking water tank under the Jal Jeevan Mission was initiated.
