MP Cyber Alert: Fake PM Awas, Kisan Yojana APK Files Used for Fraud
Imagine bad guys pretending to be people from the government, offering fake apps for things like housing or farming help.
These fake apps look real but are actually traps.
If you download them, the bad guys can sneak into your phone.
They can then steal your passwords and bank information to take your money.
The police are warning everyone to be careful and not download anything from unknown sources.
If you accidentally download a fake app, you should quickly turn off your internet, tell your bank, and change all your passwords to keep your information safe.
Cyber fraudsters are using fake APK files, posing as government schemes like PM Awas Yojana and PM Kisan Yojana, to deceive citizens.
Downloading these suspicious APK files can lead to hacking of mobile phones and theft of sensitive data, including bank details and OTPs.
The Cyber Crime branch in Madhya Pradesh has issued a public warning against these fraudulent activities.
Citizens are advised not to download files or click links from unknown sources and to verify sender identities.
If a fake APK is installed, users should immediately disconnect internet, contact their bank, change passwords, and report the incident.
