India's EV Market Sees Broad Growth in October 2025 Sales
Imagine a race where different types of electric vehicles are trying to sell themselves to people.
In October 2025, all the types of electric cars, trucks, scooters, and auto-rickshaws sold more than they did last year.
The biggest wins were for electric cars and trucks, which grew a lot!
Electric scooters and auto-rickshaws also sold more, but not as much, maybe because they already sell so many.

India's EV retail market saw growth across all segments in October 2025 compared to the previous year.
Electric passenger vehicles sales increased by 57.5%, and electric commercial vehicles saw a 105.9% rise.
Electric three-wheeler sales grew by 5.1% to 70,604 units, and electric two-wheeler sales rose 2.6% to 143,887 units.
Tata Motors led in both electric passenger and commercial vehicle sales, while Mahindra led in three-wheelers, and Bajaj Auto led in two-wheelers.
The growth in passenger and commercial EVs is attributed to new models, fleet electrification, and improved charging infrastructure, while two- and three-wheelers showed incremental gains due to their large existing base.
