World's Oldest Person Ethel Caterham Celebrates 116th Birthday
Ethel Caterham, who is now the oldest person alive in the world, recently turned 116 years old!
Imagine being alive for over a century!
She was born a long, long time ago, even before the Titanic sank.
When she was younger, she went on a big ship journey to India and worked for a family.
Later, she met her husband and they got married.
They lived in different places before settling in England.
The celebration was small and quiet, with just her family, and she got a special letter from the King last year for her 115th birthday!
The woman who lived the longest lived to be 122!
Ethel Caterham celebrated her 116th birthday on Thursday, August 21.
Born in 1909, she is the last living subject of Edward VII.
She traveled to India as a teenager, working as an au pair.
