L&T Signs ₹1,400 Crore Data Centre Transfer Deal with Vyoma.AI
L&T is one of India's biggest companies, known for building things like bridges and factories.
It also runs a business that operates data centres, which are big buildings full of computers that store information for other companies.
L&T has decided to hand this data centre and cloud services business over to its own new company called Vyoma.AI.
This move is like moving toys from one box to another that belongs to the same family.
The handover is worth ₹1,400 crore, a very large amount of money.
However, L&T will not receive cash; instead, it will get shares in Vyoma.AI.
L&T is also selling its entire share in another company, L&T Network Services Private Ltd, to Vyoma.AI for ₹30 crore.
The deal is expected to be finished by October 31, 2026.
L&T's own ownership will stay the same, so there is no big change for its shareholders.
L&T signed a Business Transfer Agreement on August 11 to transfer its Data Center and Cloud Services Business to its wholly owned subsidiary Vyoma.AI for ₹1,400 crore.
L&T will also divest its entire 100% stake in L&T Network Services Private Ltd to Vyoma for ₹30 crore under a Share Purchase Agreement.
The data centre business reported revenue of ₹36.6 crore in FY2025-26, accounting for 0.025% of L&T's standalone revenue.
The consideration will be discharged through fully paid equity shares of Vyoma, and L&T's shareholding pattern will remain unchanged.
The transactions are expected to be completed on or before October 31, 2026, subject to fulfilment of closing conditions.
