Jammu and Kashmir Reports Major Gains Against Terror Networks

Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir carried out many operations against terrorist groups and networks accused of helping them.

Police said thousands of cases were registered and nearly 4,000 people were arrested between April and September 2026.

One police statement gave 3,257 cases, while another gave 3,207 for the anti-drug campaign.

Police also said they attached hundreds of properties and seized money.

Five terrorists were killed in four operations during September, including a commander named Hashim Moosa.

The forces searched areas including forests and high-altitude locations.

Police say some drug networks helped fund or support terrorism.

In Srinagar, police reported seizing cash, gold, a pistol and heroin in a separate case.
