Shreyas Iyer Wins Toss as India Bowl First Against West Indies

India and the West Indies are starting a five-game T20 cricket series.

Their first match is in Lucknow on October 6, 2026.

India captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss, which lets a team choose whether to bat or bowl first.

He chose for India to bowl, so West Indies will bat first.

India had won the teams’ earlier one-day series by two matches to one.

West Indies won the last game of that series.

India had also recently won gold at the Asian Games.

Jasprit Bumrah was rested for this T20 series, and rain might interrupt the game.
