Laura Harris Sets Fastest Fifty Record
Laura Harris, an Australian cricketer, made history on Sunday.
She scored 52 runs in just 17 balls, which is really fast!
This means she tied the record for the fastest fifty in women's T20 cricket.
She was playing for Otago against Canterbury in New Zealand.
Her team won the match because of her great performance.
Before this, Laura wasn't doing very well in other games, but this time she did amazing and was named the player of the match.
Laura Harris scored 52 runs off 17 balls, equalling the joint-fastest fifty in women's T20 cricket history.
She achieved this feat during a Women's Super Smash game between Otago and Canterbury in New Zealand.
Harris equalled the record set by England's Marie Kelly, who also scored a half-century off 15 balls in 2022.
Her performance helped Otago win the match by six wickets, overhauling a target of 146 runs in 14.5 overs.
Harris was named the player of the match on her Super Smash debut, despite a previous lean patch in the Women's Big Bash League.
