EPFO Credits 8.25% Interest for FY26
The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has started adding 8.25% interest to Provident Fund (PF) accounts for the financial year 2025-26.
This interest is being added in phases, so some people might see it in their accounts earlier than others.
If you want to check if the interest has been added to your account, you can use the EPFO Member Passbook portal, give a missed call to a special number, or send an SMS.
Even if the interest is added later, you won't lose any money.
The EPFO makes sure that the interest is calculated correctly based on the balance in your account every month.
EPFO has started crediting 8.25% interest for FY2025-26 to PF accounts.
Interest is being credited in phases, so some accounts may not show the update immediately.
Employees contribute 12% of their basic salary to PF, matched by their employer.
You can check your PF balance using the EPFO Member Passbook portal, missed call service, or SMS.
EPFO assures that there is no loss of interest even if the update is delayed.
