Apple Launches Gemini-Powered Siri in iOS 27 Today
Apple is releasing a new version of its iPhone software called iOS 27.
It includes a redesigned Siri, Apple's digital assistant.
This time, Siri's main artificial intelligence comes from Google's Gemini models.
Siri is supposed to have longer conversations and understand what users are doing in apps such as Messages, Notes and Mail.
It can also translate while people are talking.
Apple usually prefers to build important technology itself, so working with Google is a significant change.
The deal could help Google make its AI available to many iPhone users.
People will want to know how Apple protects their information when Gemini helps answer Siri requests.
