US Plans to Double Tariffs on India's Exports Amidst Russian Oil Dispute
The US wants to make products from India more expensive by increasing taxes, because India buys a lot of oil from Russia.
The US thinks this helps Russia.
A US advisor is saying that India is hurting American businesses with trade practices and is helping Russia continue its war.
India says it needs the oil and that other countries buy more.
The US already put some extra taxes on Indian goods earlier.
If the taxes are doubled, it will become harder for India to sell things to the US.
