Revanth Reddy Seeks Telangana’s Full Krishna Water Share
No Compromise on Our Share of Krishna Waters: Revanth · deccanchronicle.com

Telangana is arguing about how much Krishna River water it should receive.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said the state must strongly present its case.

An earlier tribunal gave undivided Andhra Pradesh 811 tmc ft of water.

Telangana says it should receive 511 tmc ft of that amount.

Reddy also said Telangana should receive 45 tmc ft if Andhra Pradesh uses 80 tmc ft for the Polavaram project.

That would make Telangana’s total claim 600 tmc ft.

The state says it is planning projects that would use this amount.

Its lawyers are preparing arguments for the water tribunal, while a related case is pending in the Supreme Court.
