Mahindra has updated its three-door Thar and renamed it the Thar OG.
It now uses a newer platform also used by the bigger Thar Roxx.
New suspension and electric steering are intended to make the SUV more comfortable and easier to drive in cities.
Some four-wheel-drive versions get electronic locking differentials and settings for snow, sand and mud.
The larger diesel and petrol engines are now more powerful, while the smaller diesel engine stays the same.
The SUV also gets new lights, bumpers and larger wheels on some versions.
Inside, buyers can get leatherette seats, a bigger touchscreen, a rear armrest and wireless charging.
Safety features vary by trim, with six airbags and front parking sensors limited to higher versions according to the reports.
