Mahindra Thar OG gains power, platform, safety and technology

Mahindra has launched an updated three-door Thar called the Thar OG.

It has a newer platform that is also used by the larger Thar Roxx.

The vehicle gets new lights, bumpers and wheel choices.

Inside, it has features such as a bigger touchscreen, a wireless charger and brown leatherette seats.

Its steering system is now electric instead of hydraulic.

Some versions get improved rear suspension and electronic locking differentials for off-road driving.

The engines are now more powerful in the larger diesel and petrol versions.

Safety features include rollover mitigation, traction control and hill-hold control on specified variants.

The most expensive ZXT version gets the widest range of equipment, including six airbags and front parking sensors.
