Trinamool Rebels Join NDA Meeting Before Formal Recognition

Some MPs who used to be in the Trinamool Congress party in India have joined a meeting with the NDA, which is the group that supports the current Prime Minister.

These MPs are now calling themselves the Nationalist Citizens Party of India (NCPI).

The Trinamool Congress says this is a betrayal because these MPs were elected by promising to oppose the BJP, which is the main party in the NDA.

The NCPI says they support a bill to stop paper leaks.

The NDA says these new MPs will make their group stronger.
