Rajnath Singh: China willing to ease LAC tensions, resolve border issues through dialogue
Imagine India and China share a long border, and sometimes they disagree about exactly where it is, which can cause problems.
Recently, after some important meetings between leaders from both countries, India's Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that China is now saying they want to be more friendly and solve these border disagreements.
He mentioned that China wants to lower the tension along the border and talk things out.
Even though there were serious problems in the past, like fights in 2020, leaders are talking again.
The minister also said that he told China it's time to fix things and that both sides have agreed to keep talking so that future problems can be avoided.
It's like they are agreeing to work together to make sure their shared backyard stays peaceful.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stated China has expressed a willingness to ease tensions and resolve border issues along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) through dialogue.
Singh's remarks follow Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Tianjin for the SCO Summit and bilateral talks with Chinese Defence Minister Dong Jun in Kuala Lumpur.
Both India and China have agreed to maintain military-to-military talks to prevent future flare-ups along the LAC.
Recent high-level engagements, including a meeting between PM Modi and President Xi Jinping, have spurred efforts to restore peace along the border.
India's Defence Minister emphasized the need for a peaceful resolution and welcomed China's stated intent to continue discussions on border differences.
