Runway Unveils Solaris, An AI Model For Interactive Interfaces

Runway Unveils Solaris, An AI Model For Interactive Interfaces

Runway has made a new AI system called Solaris.

It can create an app’s screen while a person is using it.

Instead of choosing buttons from a fixed menu, users might move objects around or explore a virtual world.

For example, someone could try clothes on a digital image or move furniture by telling the system what to do.

Solaris changes the screen after each action.

It is different from a chatbot because it responds with an interactive visual scene instead of mainly text or links.

The system is still experimental.

It can have trouble displaying clear words and may show information that looks right but is wrong.

Runway is testing ways to make it more accurate and accessible.
