Asian Paints Q3 Profit Falls 4%
Asian Paints, a big paint company, recently shared its quarterly results.
They made less profit this time compared to last year, with a 4% drop.
However, their total revenue went up by 3%.
The company's margins, which show how much profit they make from their sales, were quite good, reaching high levels in many quarters.
This was helped by lower costs for raw materials and more sales of premium products.
But investors were not very happy, and the company's stock price went down.
Different experts have different opinions about the company's future.
Some think it will do well and suggest buying the stock, while others are more cautious and suggest holding or even selling it.
The company is planning to keep investing in marketing and expanding its reach to more stores.
They are also focusing on selling more expensive, high-quality products to make more profit.
Overall, while the company is doing some things well, it faces challenges like slow demand and strong competition.
Asian Paints reported a 4% decline in standalone net profit to ₹1,414.89 crore for Q3 FY26.
Revenue from operations rose 3% year-on-year to ₹7,624.50 crore.
Gross margin improved to 44.4%, a nine-quarter high, and EBITDA margin climbed to 20.1%, the best in eight quarters.
Decorative volumes grew 7.9% year-on-year, driven by premium products, waterproofing, and industrial coatings.
Brokerages have mixed outlooks, with some maintaining 'buy' ratings and others cutting earnings estimates due to prolonged softness in demand and elevated competitive intensity.
