India Joins 6G Coalition to Help Shape Global Standards

India Joins 6G Coalition to Help Shape Global Standards

India has joined a group of countries planning how future 6G networks should work.

The group includes the United States and 24 other countries.

It will discuss safety, compatibility and trusted artificial intelligence.

Joining early may give India a chance to help write the rules instead of following them later.

Indian scientists, companies and startups could use this opportunity to influence network designs.

The partnership was announced after Jitin Prasada met Howard Lutnick.

Technical work on 6G is expected to speed up from 2027.

India’s Bharat 6G Alliance hopes to deploy 6G by 2030.
