Bhopal Police Raise Financial Aid for Deceased Personnel Families
The police in Bhopal are giving more money to the families of officers who die while working.
The amount of money has been increased from 1 lakh rupees to 5 lakh rupees.
This is happening because the value of money has changed over time and the way the police are paid has changed too.
The program started in 1999, and has been improved several times since then.
To get this help, officers must pay a small yearly fee.
All officers who pay their contribution and meet eligibility requirements will have access to the increased financial assistance.
Police Headquarters (PHQ) increased financial aid to families of deceased police personnel.
The aid has been raised from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 5 lakh.
The increased amount will be provided from October 1.
The revision was made due to depreciation in the value of the rupee and NPS implementation.
Every personnel wishing to join the scheme must contribute Rs 1,200 per year.
