Dipke Alleges Police Pressure Ahead of Delhi Protest
Cockroach Janta Party founder Abhijeet Dipke says police in Chandrapur sent notices to people planning to travel to Delhi for a protest.
The protest is planned for October 10 at Jantar Mantar.
The notice reportedly asked about the volunteers’ travel, who was paying and why they wanted to join.
It also warned them about violence, speeches and some social media posts.
Dipke says the notices are meant to scare people and asks how police can know whether a protest might turn violent.
Chandrapur’s police chief says notices like these are routine steps to prevent trouble.
He says volunteers should ask the relevant police station in Delhi for permission.
The CJP says the protest is about the election chief and changes to voter lists.
The Election Commission says decisions about the voter-list revision were unanimous.

The notice shown by Dipke asks about volunteers’ travel plans, funding and purpose, and warns against unapproved agitation, violence and provocative social media posts or speeches.
Dipke calls the notices intimidation, questions how police could anticipate violence and accuses the BJP-led government of political pressure.
Chandrapur Superintendent of Police Ayush Nopany says such notices are routine preventive measures and volunteers should seek permission from the relevant Delhi police station.
