Real Kashmir FC: Football Revolution in Conflict
In 2014, Kashmir was hit by terrible floods that left many people without homes or hope.
Two friends, Shamim and Sandeep, decided to do something to help the young boys in their community.
They started by giving out footballs, and soon, they had the idea to create a professional football club.
Despite many challenges, like not having enough money or proper facilities, they worked hard and formed Real Kashmir FC.
With the help of a experienced coach and talented players, the team grew stronger and even made history by becoming the first club from Kashmir to play in the I-League.
The club not only brought joy and pride to the valley but also showed the world that good things can come from places where people least expect it.
Today, Real Kashmir FC is more than just a football club; it's a symbol of hope and unity for the people of Kashmir.
Real Kashmir FC was founded in 2016 by Shamim Meraj and Sandeep Chattoo to bring hope and structure to the youth of Kashmir after the devastating floods of 2014.
The club faced numerous challenges, including financial struggles and lack of proper facilities, but persevered with the support of dedicated players and coaches.
Under the guidance of coach David Robertson, Real Kashmir FC achieved a historic promotion to the I-League in 2018, becoming the first club from Kashmir to do so.
