Scams and Land Grabbing in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh
In Telangana, police caught a group of 15 people who tricked farmers and the government by changing land registration fees on the computer.
The leaders of the group, Pasunuri Basava Raju and Jella Pandu, ran fake service centers.

The party accused Anantapur MLA Daggupati Prasad of leading the alleged gang.
The YSRCP claimed that incidents of attacks, coercion, and encroachments had become routine since the coalition government assumed power.
They alleged that select police and revenue officials were being used to intimidate victims, while complaints were allegedly ignored by senior officers.
The YSRCP called for immediate action and urged authorities to conduct a thorough probe into financial transactions of those involved.
Meanwhile, the police in Kurnool issued a strong advisory urging public vigilance against cyber fraudsters targeting citizens by misusing the names of popular government welfare schemes.
