India examines implications of Pakistan-Saudi-Turkey defence pact

Three countries — Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey — signed an agreement to help each other with defense.

The agreement is called the Mecca Joint Defence Agreement.

India, a neighboring country, wants to understand what this agreement means for its safety.

India's spokesperson, Randhir Jaiswal, said India is looking at whether the pact could affect its security.

He said India will do whatever it needs to protect itself.

India also talked about a region called Arunachal Pradesh, which it says is part of India.

India gave special official names to 27 places there, and China said that decision is not valid.

India says nothing can change the fact that Arunachal Pradesh is part of India.

Both India and China agreed to keep talking through peaceful channels to solve their border problems.
