Govt. Distributes New Paddy Seeds to Boost Farmer Income
Imagine farmers growing rice.
The government wants them to earn more money, so they're giving out new seeds!
These seeds grow a type of rice called Pusa 1718, which smells good and shines, like fancy Basmati rice.
People in other countries really like this rice, so the farmers can sell it and make more money.
The government is helping by giving out the new seeds and also paying for half the cost of the seeds, so the farmers can grow more rice easily.
This is happening in Prayagraj, where many farmers grow rice.
Government is distributing new paddy variety seeds in Prayagraj for the Kharif season.
Farmers are encouraged to grow export-oriented paddy varieties, increasing their income.
The new variety, Pusa 1718, is similar to Basmati and has high export demand.
Around 1555.20 quintals of Pusa 1718 seeds will be distributed in the district.
The government is offering a 50 percent subsidy on paddy nursery seeds.
